Ambalangoda town and Udupila town are the most popular to masks. Masks are main part of Sri Lanka's culture. Mask are use for Thovil and Bali. The craftsmen are use "Diya kaduru"wood and "Rukaththana" wood for made masks.


Now we learn how to make a mask step by step. The first step is cut the tree stems and peel them. It is known as "Gana kapeema". 
Then mark the style of the mask in the peeled wood and cut it. The second step is dry the mask in sun-rice. It is known as "Kiri hidaveema". Then mark the eye, nonce and mouth on the mask. It is known as"Lakunu kapeema". Then color it.

👉 "Raksha muhuna"
👉 "Yaksha muhuna"
👉 "Naga kanya muhuna"
👉 "Sanni muhuna"
👉 "Kolam muhuna"
